General Course Description:

The Artificial Intelligence course at TTII-X is designed to provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of artificial intelligence (AI). This course is aimed at industry professionals and academics seeking a thorough introduction to AI, combining theoretical foundations with practical applications. The course consists of four modules, each lasting 1.5 hours, delivered in a synchronous online format, allowing real-time interaction between instructors and participants.

Module 1: History of Artificial Intelligence

Objective: Understand the origins of Artificial Intelligence, its historical development, and why it has become prominent in this era, changing the world through its application.

This module offers an in-depth look at the evolution of artificial intelligence, starting from its beginnings in the 1950s. Participants will explore foundational concepts developed by pioneers such as Alan Turing and John McCarthy, who laid the groundwork for modern AI. The module covers the early AI systems like chess-playing programs and the first chatbots, tracing their evolution to more advanced technologies such as deep learning and neural networks.

Additionally, the module examines key milestones in AI history, including the development of the first machine learning algorithms and the emergence of large datasets that have driven AI research. Challenges and setbacks in AI development are also discussed, providing participants with a balanced understanding of the opportunities and limitations of this revolutionary technology. By the end of this module, students will have a better appreciation of AI’s historical impact and its future potential.

Module 2: Impact of Artificial Intelligence

Objective: This course reviews the impacts that Artificial Intelligence is generating in the world and industry, with practical cases that illustrate how productivity increases and impacts KPIs.

In this module, participants will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming various sectors, from manufacturing to healthcare. Through detailed case studies, the module demonstrates how companies use AI to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve decision-making. For example, in manufacturing, AI predicts machinery failures and optimizes supply chains, leading to greater efficiency and reduced waste.

The module also covers AI’s impact on strategic decision-making. AI systems can analyze vast amounts of data in real-time, providing insights unattainable through traditional methods. This allows companies to quickly adjust strategies and remain competitive in fast-evolving markets. Participants will leave this module with a clear understanding of how AI can drive productivity and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Module 3: Applications and Uses of Artificial Intelligence

Objective: This course focuses on presenting use cases of Artificial Intelligence and practical tools, demonstrating how it is possible to increase the productivity of individuals and teams.

This module is dedicated to exploring practical applications of artificial intelligence across different industries. Specific use cases will be presented in areas such as customer service, where AI-powered chatbots improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, and medicine, where AI assists in diagnosing and treating diseases through the analysis of medical images and patient data. Participants will analyze how these applications not only increase productivity but also enhance the accuracy and quality of work.

Moreover, practical tools and AI implementation techniques will be taught, which can be directly applied in the participants’ work environments. This includes using machine learning platforms, data analysis software, and cloud-based AI applications. By the end of the module, participants will have gained practical skills to implement AI solutions in their own work contexts, enabling significant improvements in operational efficiency and decision-making.

Module 4: Artificial Intelligence Panel Discussion

Objective: With the participation of international experts, a panel discussion on how artificial intelligence is changing the way things are done, increasing productivity, managing ethics in society, cybersecurity, and social security, among other topics.

The final module of the course is an interactive panel discussion with international experts in artificial intelligence. This format allows participants to discuss and reflect on the topics learned in previous modules, focusing on how AI is transforming workflows and its societal impact. Critical issues such as AI ethics, including privacy, fairness, and transparency in AI systems, will be addressed.

The panel will also explore topics related to cybersecurity and social security in the context of AI. Experts will discuss how AI technologies can be used to enhance security while presenting new challenges in terms of cybersecurity. This module provides a platform for participants to debate these issues, share experiences, and learn from global best practices. By the end of the panel, participants will have a holistic view of the various aspects of AI and be better prepared to address its ethical and security implications in their organizations.
